Burglary at Centurion leads to disruption of licensing services
The City of Tshwane would like to inform members of the community about the disruption of licensing services at the Centurion Licensing Centre following a recent overnight burglary.
The theft has now prompted an immediate shutdown of the Centurion Licensing Centre to allow the South African Police Service to conduct an investigation without hindrances.
The centre will remain closed today with some services planned to resume tomorrow, 6 July 2017.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that PCs, eNaTIS screens and camera equipment have been stolen, amongst others.
The Centurion Licensing Centre is anticipated to offer the following limited services tomorrow:
•           Learner licence testing
•           Practical driver testing
•           Collection of new licence cards
Please note: No licence renewal service will be offered until further notice.
The City's customers interested in licensing services are advised to visit Akasia and/or Bronkhorstspruit Licensing Centres which are fully operational.
Tomorrow, 6 July 2017 at 08:00 the Executive Mayor of Tshwane, Solly Msimanga, will brief members of the media at Tshwane House on measures to be undertaken to address robberies and other issues affecting the City.
